4x M3x8mm for attaching the E3D Hemera to the Connector (DON'T USE LONGER THAN 8mm SCREWS FOR THIS!) - 2x M3x12mm for locking the two parts together, can be a bit longer too - 2x M3圆 or 8mm for attaching the Base to the original metal X-Plate of the Ender 5 (Plus), I just used the original screws from Creality for this - maybe: small Nail-File if rails don't slide easily into each other Instructions: - print both parts with maximum fan-speed, the Base needs to be turned 180 degrees and the Connector part maybe needs support - remove old Extruder assembly (search for instructions if you don't know how) but leavy the metal X-Carriage plate as it is. Also of course please give feedback even if its working fine :) Parts-list (What you need): - Hemera with the square Nuts inserted in all 4 Holes on the correct side. Or Maybe post a Remix of the BLTouch version of the Connector Plate ) If you need small things to be changed (without wanting to do a Remix) just comment it, I will se what I can do. If you using something other than the dc42 IR Probe (like BLTouch) you can ignore the mounting point for it. As the IR Probe Mount is high enough and still highly adjustable in the height this Mount System will both fit V6 and Volcano with various Heatbed-surfaces. The IR Probe is mounted to the connector by design and stays the correct height if you reconnect the Hemera to the Base. I uploaded the STEP files too and encourage you to Remix the system to fit your printer model! But give at least an mention to my work because it took a lot of hours, dozens of printed iterations and quite some PLA.
#Hemera volcano plus#
The base is designed to work with the Ender 5 Plus which I have, and should theoretically fit the Ender 5 and maybe other Creality printers too. The rail is just for easy mounting and maintenance. Even tho it somewhat reminds of the Toolchanger, its not meant to be swapped automatically.

You can obviously see that I got inspired by the E3D-Toolchanger and mounting-rails for scopes. The Connector-Part slides into the Base plate and get locked with two screws. The mounting system consists of two parts: The Base-Part which gets attached to the metal X-Carriage-plate that comes with the printer and the Connector-Part. So I decided to make my own Hemera Mount wich mainly focuses on be able to easily be installed as well as very easy possibility to do maintenance on the unit.

Most of them Replace the original metal X-Plate of the printer and require some modifications that I don't think are necesseray. I highly recommend the new mounting system! So after looking at various E3D Hemera mounts none of them completely convinced me. I have an new design based on ProperPrintings Quick Tool Change and butt3erbr0ts remix of it.
